The medium contains 100 pts. wt. of a substance (I) forming a film which disperses water; plus 0.9-11.5 pts. wt. stabilisers; 145-225 pts. wt. water; 4-15 pts. wt. pigments; and 4-12 pts. wt. fillers. The pigments and fillers possess a coefft. of diffuse reflection (CDR) of min. 80% at a wavelength of 547 mu m; and the medium can be further diluted with water. Substance (I) contains =1 liq. oil, where the ratio (R) of the non-volatile cpds. in the oil:non-volatile cpds. in substance (I) = 1:5-19. The aq. medium is employed to prevent excessive evapn. of water out of the concrete during setting, and also to provide a coating with high reflectivity e.g. when mfg. concrete used in structures carrying water or in monolithic concrete structures.
