A closure for a fluid container, specially a bottle for drip feeding, consists of two parts. An inner part which is inserted into the bottle neck up to a flange includes a central drip feed tube with a conical nozzle at the bottom. The latter is closed except for a kidney-shaped opening which extends to an air vent further inside the bottle. This part is held in the bottle neck by small ribs on the outside; the annulus around the drip fedd tube is narrower at the bottom and seals against the outer part. The outer part is screwed with its cap on the bottle neck thread and has a central cylinder which seals against the inner part. This closure does not clog up the vent with residual fluid and ensures a clean start of the drip feed.
