PURPOSE:To enhance the collection efficiency of scattering magnetic toner by using air flow and magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:Air duct 25 connected with space 24 adjacent to opening 23 of toner tank 21 on the upflow side of photosensitive drum 5 is connected with toner collecting chamber 27. Exhaust opening 29 toward the suction side of a fan, permanent magnets 28, 28, etc. provided in chamber 27 collects the magnetic toner scattering during development using rotary sleeve 22 efficiently by virtue of air flow and the magnetic forces. In addition, magnetic toner scattering on the downflow of drum 5 is likewise collected.
