A pendulum for use in various spheres of radio sensitivity work, e.g. detection of existing or hypothetical sources or of physical objects in medicine or metaphysics is designed for single construction and operation in defined selective frequency bandwidths. The pendulum has of a housing (A) containing an electronic emission detector arrangement (H) an antenna coil and an adjustable diamagnetic mass (I). The range of operation lies generally in a frequency band between 500 and 600 Mega Hertz. Signal amplification is by means of an amplifier with two field effect transistor stages. The unit is switched on when suspended by a contact (E) attached to the suspension cord (D). The contact connects two further contacts (F,G) thus making the battery (B) circuit.
