The burner consists of a rectangular sectioned channel following a rectangular path (3). The channel is perforated on the bottom and along the inner sides with equally spaced holes. The channel sits on a solid sump which fits underneath the entire width and length of the burner. Combustion air is provided through an inlet duct on one side of the burner. The sump may be removed for emptying the ash. The high turbulence in the burner ensures a good rate of combustion.
