Feed control for variable paper sizes - provides adjustment through differential without stopping printing machine using stepping motors

The device for controlling the feeding of a web, particularly a paper web which is to be printed in a printing machine, has by a main drive motor and a first transmission arranged between the main drive and the main wheel of a differential unit. A stepping motor is provided and also a second transmission between the stepping motor and the planet wheel of the differential unit. Between the sun wheel of the differential unit and the drive arrangement for feeding of the web, a third transmission unit is provided. The stepping motor is impulse controlled.
