The sectional dry-jointed timber window frames comprise sill (1), head, and post members which are assembled on site. The corner joints between members are of a tenon (13) to blind mortice variety with a connecting bolt on the tenon axis (12). The sill members are of a two-piece (5, 6) construction contg. a dry sealing bead (8) and inc. a combined drainage and decompression outlet (7). The frames are stored and transported in the compact separate member form. The sill members may be of an inverted 'T' section with the leg (6) of the 'T' forming the vertical faces for a pivoting sash or glazing. The bar (5) and the leg (6) of the 'T' may be fabricated separately and joined by longitudinal tongue (6a) and grooving (5a) with vertical screws. The joint may incorporate a longitudinal sealing bead (8) and the ends of the leg (6) are formed into a tenon (13).
