摘要
In the process an oil or fat which is solid at room temp. is dissolved by heating in an organic solvent which has little or no solvent power for the core material which is to be encapsulated but is capable of dissolving the oil or fat at elevated temp. and has coacervation properties for the oil or fat in the cold. The core material is dispersed in the solution obtd.; the dispersion is cooled with stirring to coacervate the oil or fat on the core material; and the resulting particulate product is separated off and dried. Method is used for microencapsulation of materials such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antibiotics, synthetic antibacterials, antiprotozoal agents, analgesics, antipyretics, enzymes, dried live microorganisms, foods, nutrients, and agricultural chemicals. The microencapsulation process makes use of the coacervation phenomenon without having to use a non-solvent in addition to the organic solvent.
