Gas flow control for heating installation - uses regulator with thermostatic control valve to keep temperature constant

Flow of gas to a heating installation is controlled from a thermostatic element to keep the temperature sensibly constant. A regulator with thermal probe and flame detector ensures flow is controlled and turned off as required. A gas flow regulator comprises an inlet (20) for gas to flow past a safety valve (3) with electrical control (2). A screw (4) regulates the maximum flow into a central chamber (5). Gas then flows past a regulator valve (7) with thermostatic control operating directly on the valve piston (9). A calibrated screw (10) permits a minimum level of gas to flow towards (F2) a burner.
