Bakery prover carrier for stick loaf dough pieces - with flexible sheet detachable to transfer pieces to oven loading conveyor

The support comprises a rigid plate narrower than the loading conveyor belt and grooved with parallel channels. The plate is covered by and channels lined with a flexible sheet which, stretched flat, is just as wide as the conveyor belt. Each lined channel contains a loaf in the prover. The sheet is transferred and superimposed on the belt, pulled out to increase loaf spacing. The sheet and conveyor belt have fastenings which are coupled to fix the sheet on to the belt during loading on the oven. The fastenings comprise strips running transversely of the belt, one on the underside of one transverse edge of the sheet and another on the top of the other transverse edge of the sheet. On the conveyor belt, two fastening strips are longitudinally spaced by a distance equal to a multiple of the length of belt occupied by one sheet. One belt fastening is a strip on the top face of the belt. The other belt fastening is a strip on the underside of a flap fastened to and extending across the belt. The rigid support plate is pref. a plastic moulding in one piece. Several flexible sheets loaded with dough pieces can be fastened together and to the surface of the conveyor belt of a single oven loader.
