The dental appliance is used for straightening teeth and fits into a mouth plate of synthetic resin. It comprises two nuts (2, 3) on a central screw thread (1) for adjusting the longitudinal positions of the pressure points. Each nut also has a single or double guide rod (6, 7) passing through it and locked in position. The upper guide rod (6) has a shoulder (17) each end for a nut unit (15, 16), used to apply (13, 14) lateral pressure onto the selected tooth or teeth. Each nut unit can tilt (15a, 16a) to the most suitable position and has a screw thread (11, 12) for positioning against the tooth and adjusting the pressure.
