The apparatus is carried by a tractor hitch and has feet (4) which rest on the ground to stabilise the apparatus in use. Vertical pillars (1) are connected by members (5, 3) and provide a support up and down which the horizontally extending frame (7) can be moved by jack (18). Frame (7) carries two platforms (8) which can be extended laterally on beams (13) sliding in the top members of frame (7) by double acting hydraulic jacks (14). Controls for jacks (18, 14) are provided on the gondolas. In an alternative construction the platforms are carried individually by the pillars and extend on scissor linkages.
