The generator is contained in a casing which catches and concentrates the wind. This increases its velocity and pressure and enables a larger output to be obtained. Within in casing there is a central shaft which is connected by a radial lever to a central pivot. Radial arms projecting from the pivot carry blades at their ends on which the wind exerts a propulsive force. The blades rotate about the ends of the arms so that they are propelled by the wind in one direction and offer no resistance on the return half of the movement. The net forces produce a moment which causes the central pivot to rotate about the shaft and revolve the shaft on its own axis.
