Hot water solar energy heater of compact form - using small bore copper pipes for carrying the heated fluid

The solar heater comprises a sheet made up by the juxtaposition of units each by which takes the shape of a flattened W. Within each depressed part of the W are copper pipes carrying a heat collecting fluid, the pipes being in intimate contact with the W-shaped element. The heat recovery pipes are joined at each end to collector header tubes. The whole assembly is placed in a case of which one side is covered by glass forming a lens of the necessary thickness. The heater gives a satisfactory heat yield but is less cumbersome and less costly in regard to materials than other heaters.
