Battery installation for raising snails - has electric fences around removable plastics grids on which snails are raised to prevent escape

The installation has three floors (1) comprising grids of plastic material which can be removed. The size of the mesh is chosen in dependence on the size of the snails. Inclined rigid plates (3) are fitted below the upper grids to collect waste which is taken away by gutters and a drain pipe (5). The grids are equipped with feeders, laying troughs filled with earth, shelter zones and water. The borders (10) to each grid are equipped with electric fences to prevent escape of the snails. The fences comprise horizontal conductors, the alternate conductors being connected to positive and negative terminals of a power source.
