The diffuser (2) for an agricultural spreading machine a trapezoidal shaped casing having a cover (9) secured by a screw (11). Within the casing is a central partition (12) and a group of partitions (13) on either side of it, arranged in a diverging pattern. A tube (16) is incorporated in the top (8) and a flexible pipe (14) from a hopper is connected to it. A shaft (17) connected to the side (4) centrally and above the centre of gravity is journalled in a bore (18) in a mounting bar (1), being retained by a pin (19). The casing always hangs vertically to distribute granules falling by gravity from the hopper.
