Automatic distributor for pulverulent substances - where powder is fed through a tubular conveyor to a distribution head over molten metal in a mould

One end of the tubular conveyor comprises a distribution head. It has a closed end and a longitudinal opening in the side wall whose profile can be regulated and varied. Regulation is by an assembly of shutters along the length of the opening, each being individually adjustable. The head can turn round its axis to vary the orientation of the opening. A deflector is fitted below and parallel to the opening. A coil spring is rotated by motor to feed the powder from hopper.
