The evaporation carburetor is intended for slowly evaporating liquid fuel. It comprises a diffusor(11) in the centre of which an evaporator body(3) is arranged which has a flat upper face(7) and a vertical rim(9) at which a vacuum develops. This causes instantaneous expansion of the fuel which emerges through a bore(8) in the evaporator and diffuses into, and mixes with the air flowing through, the suction line(1). The carburettor may have a main fuel jet(20), formed as a cylindrical hollow element(23, 25), secured by screw thread(21) at the top and with a flat bottom with bore(22).
