摘要
A composite structure for a ski body involves a relatively lightweight core between upper and lower surface layers. The upper layer is made of material having a modulus of elasticity in the longitudinal direction of 4700 hbar and a section such that the product of modulus and section is 140000-400000 hbar. mm2. The corresp. properties of the lower layer are 4700 hbar and 13000-53000 hbar. mm2. The core material has a shear strength in the longitudinal direction of 25 bar and a vertical compressive strength of 21 bar. The design produces good vibrational characteristics, with a high natural frequency, low amplitude response to shock and good damping characteristics without the complication of including ancillary springs or other relatively small components.
