Canal water race mobile shield - has panel working in channel to transfer barges and including sealing rollers on three sides

The mobile shield transfers barges etc. up and down a water race between the head-and tail-bays of a canal at different levels. It comprises a transverse panel working in the race channel and equipped with sealing rollers on three sides, acting against the channel walls. The rollers have taper ends tangental to each other, and one is partly accommodated in a housing movable transversely in relation to the panel, being thrust obliquely towards the channel wall. The bottom roller is contained in a housing fixed to the panel. The other side roller is accommodated partly in a housing which is also fixed to the panel.
