An ejector for an injection moulding press has a piston moving in a cylinder which is mounted on the moving crosshead of the press; the front end of the piston rod is attachable to the ejector plunger in the mould. The piston rod is hollow throughout its length and accommodates a fastening detail by which the tail end of the ejection plunger in the mould can be fixed to the piston rod. Used in injection moulding presses working with thermoplastic, thermosetting and elastomeric materials. No special arrangements are necessary to give access to the: joint between the piston rod and the mould plunger, and the connection is perfectly simple to make.
