Periodic programmed intervals of switching for temp. control of one or mroe areas is performed by a switching clock. This permits economising of cnetral heating energy. The clock (10) has a rectangular case (11) with a flat front panel (12) contg. numerical indicator panel (19) indicating the actual time of day. The lower part of the front panel contains switches (20-24) which enable start and stop times of heating circuit to be set by indication on clock ot nearest minute. The switched state can be advanced to the next state as required. Temp. controls (27, 28) enable the demanded temp. condition to be set for day or night time.
