The installation for bulk handling has a V shaped roof supported by a framework of pairs of posts inclined to one another at an angle of less than ninety degrees. Beams between the posts provide tracks along which a material handling wheel can be moved, together with its drive motor. Arms on the wheel extend beyond the longitudinal edges of the roof so that a continuous transporter oriented in the direction of displacement of the wheel and disposed below it is able to receive bulk material from the wheel. The wheel turns about a vertical axis.
