The double combination key for vehicle locks has a different combination of notches along each edge of the key so that two locks can be opened by one key. A neck stub on the key prevents the key from being introduced to the wrong lock. The part of the lock barrel opposite that receiving the correctly cut edge of the key is arranged so that it allows rotation of the wrongly cut edge of the key.
