HV pulse generator for electric fence - uses transistor oscillator and step=up transformer to provide controlled frequency pulses

The high tension pulse generator includes a battery supplying a transistor oscillator, a rectified-integrator circuit and a threshold starting circuit with a step-up transformer. A starting frequency control loop is connected to the primary of the transformer. This loop includes a charge storing capacitor supplied by part of the energy provided by the threshold starting circuit. The loop is connected to the biasing circuit for one of the transistors of the oscillator. The biasing circuit includes a discharge line for the charge storing capacitor, with a predetermined time constant. The control loop includes a diode connected between the primary winding and the charge storing capacitor for charging it.
