16-Oxo-DELTA14,15-eburnane (I), and its acid addn. salts are new. Used for treatment of cardiocirculatory and cerebrovascular insufficiencies. (I) is prepd. by the oxidn. (lead tetraacetate or alkali metal alkoxide) of DELTA14,15-vincaminic acid or the corresponding 16-epi deriv. (I) may be given orally or parenterally at a daily dosage of 1-200 mg.
