Process for the preparation of resinous compositions and new products thus obtained. /P P In this process, a polybutadiene, having a number average molecular weight of 150 to 10,000 and at least 80% by weight of structure 1.4, is reacted with a phenol in the presence of a acid catalyst for obtaining a composition which consists of a polybutadiene-phenol adduct and unreacted phenol, in this polybutadiene-phenol adduct, one phenol molecule for 3 to 8 butadiene units being added to polybutadiene, and the composition of a polybutadienephenol adduct is reacted with a formaldehyde in the presence of a basic catalyst. /P P The present invention is particularly useful for providing resinous compositions used for the preparation of laminated sheets having excellent baking characteristics, in particular excellent electrical characteristics, excellent puncturing or punching ability and excellent flexibility.
