Moulded handles secured by press fit elastic pref. polyacetal plugs - esp. for easy assembly of car door interior handles

'C' pattern handle comprises a rigid plastics moulding with two integral feed having holes which can accept a hollow, slotted plug with projecting lips. The plug can deform the insertion through a hole in the supporting framework, and is subsequently maintained in the spread position by a secondary plug having a profiled head which covers and disguises the tops of the concentric plugs. Used esp. for interior handles for vehicle doors, to simplify assembly by eliminating use of threaded fittings. The deformable clamping plug is pref. made of material having good tensile stress resistance, e.g. a polyacetal.
