Trap for killing insects - has ultraviolet lamp within perforated tube to attract insects and tray in base to remove bodies

The trap comprises a wide base for stability, tapering inwards and upwards to receive a tube positioned vertically on it. This tube is perforated with holes over its sides, these being large enough to permit insects to pass through. An ultra-violet lamp is fitted within the tube, its light shining through the holes. This attracts insects which enter inside the tube and are killed by the effects of the light. The dead insects fall onto a tray in the base of the unit, this being withdrawn to remove the bodies.
