The folding stool for camping, fishing etc., consists of a triangular seat (2) of semi-rigid material and three legs (4) for a base (3). The legs are hinged together by means of a sprocket (5) midway along them. The top of each leg is joined to the seat by means of a cylindrical socket (7) underneath the seat (2), positioned at a tangent to the underneath surface of the seat (2). The top end of each leg has a collar (9) resting against the end of an auxiliary socket (8).
