A lifting arm is pivoted onto a swinging arm. This lifting arm straddles the boat and has two side frames which grip under the hull, one each side. The swinging arm has two side frames with spacers between, its remaining end fixed to a shaft articulated between the sides of a mounting fixed into the ground. An extension carries a counterweight and the unit is motorised. The boat is subjected to an up and over movement, passing between the sides of the swinging arm before being lowered.
