An assembly of measuring chains are used to test complex aircraft equipment in conjunction with a signal analysis circuit. Input signals are generated for maximum and minimum tolerance levels and at a nominal value in between. A module (10) generates signals which are connected via plugs (11, 5) and an inverting switch (1) to a processing module (2). A user controlled switch (12) on the generator module (10) enables the tolerance conditions to be applied to an input signal. LED's (3a, 3b) operate in conjunction with a decoder to signal satisfactory operation.
