The motor (1) is for propelling a skier uphill from behind and has two tubes in which a ski poles are placed. One extremity of the arms can pivot around a horizontal axis and the ski sticks are joined by a strap (7) which pushes the skier, at his centre of gravity. The motor has a frame containing the engine and a clutch and moves a supple endless track with a high coefficient of friction, which surrounds the motor. The motor can have two straps so that it can be carried on the back of the skier.
