Draught excluder for door - has recoil spring mounted horizontal slide linked to excluder shoe to drop it in position when door is closed

The draught-excluder (8) descends automatically as the door attains closure, and is displaced by the movements of a recoil sprung horizontal sliding bar (4) transmitted through pin-jointed linkage (5, 6). A square inverted 'U' section housing (3) may be fixed to the rear face of the door, contg. a slotted box section slide (4) joined by pin-jointed links to a shoe (7). The housing assemblies may be in modular lengths which are fixed at each lateral door extremity or at intervals. Screw fixed double spigot connectors being used to fix coupling slide sections. A projecting slide spigot may engage a ramped block on a door post to displace the slide as the door attains closure.
