The container securing frame for the ship's hold has a pattern of uprights supporting the corners of the container stacks while horizontal braces prevent the stacks from slipping. The horizontal braces are tensile supports (2) with their ends looped into securing slots (5) in the sides of the hold. The braces are fitted and secured with no containers in the holds for a simple fitting. They provide maximum support and do not restrict the hold space nor increase the loading unduly.
