Credit card intake and return device - has guide for partial intake of credit card casing with card holder and key responsive to casing insertion to actuate card removal

The intake and return device for credit cards and similar information carriers is for vending machines, cash points, or other service credit arrangements. It has a guide for partial insertion of a casing from which the credit card etc. can be pulled out. The casing is held in the guide by a retainer which permits activation of a key responsive to the casing position. The credit card is moved by a device which responds to the casing starting position and removes the card from the casing after activation of the key into a data reader of the automatic machine. Then a return movement is carried out to the starting position, after which the retainer of the casing is disabled and the casing set free. Pref. the credit card pulled into the reader is still partly in its casing. If no credit is available in the machine memory for the inserted credit card, the latter is not returned.
