Vibrating table for producing precast concrete slabs - acts as vice with jacks lifting table w.r.t. sub frame to secure mould during vibration

For use at a casting station the vibrating table is mounted on a fixed sub-frame, with relative vertical movement of the table and frame being used to secure a mould during vibration. A vice grip is taken on the mould to prevent its movement and obtain a more silent operation. The sub-frame may comprise braced posts with shock absorbant mountings and with horizontal cap plates cantilevering inboard to form the fixed jaws. The vibrating deck and the vibrator may be mounted between posts and on jacks which sit on bracing rails having kerb rails which form the mobile jaws. The mould may be outwardly flanged at the base, the flanges being gripped between the rails and the cap plates when the deck is lifted. The jacks may be of the supply bellows type, and the deck may descend to place the mould on a roller conveyor.
