The food is characterised by the following. (a) It conforms up to plus-or-minus 10% to the following weight ratios:- animal/vegetable proteins 1.14, protein/glucides 0.18, protein/lipids 1.29, glucides/lipids 0.68 and Ca/P 0.7. (b) It is ready to be eaten and contains about 600 calories and (c) it is composed of low price foods such as rice, chicken, wheat and a little tomato. The prod. is cheap and supplies essential requirements in the right balance.
