Sea water desalination plant - based on multi-effect film evaporator and heat exchanger stages (NL 17.6.80)

Parent patent described a desalination method of sea water, based on multi-effect film evaporation. Improvement is that each section consists of a single brine reservoir and the vertical banks of tubes of the heat exchangers to preheat the sea water extend into the same tube plates which fix the film evaporator tubes. The heat exchanger for sea water pre-heating are joined in every stage with those of the adjacent stages through tubes and water chests.
