The counter mirror mounting (6) is for a reflecting telescope (1). The counter mirror (5) is coupled to the main mirror (3) via a support construction. Hinged connections are provided between the counter between and the support construction. The latter is dependent upon the distance between the mirrors, its distance from the plane of the main mirror, the distance of the fulcrum from the optical axis of the telescope and the rigidity of the separate components of the support construction itself. Pref. the fulcrum lies at least near the plane of the fulcrum of the mirrors. The mounting (6) is coupled to stays (4) via sprung links (7).
