The telecommunication network has integrated earth and satellite channels, the transmission being effected for data and digitised speech between users. This necessitates identification of location of user stations in the network. The telecommunications network comprises several peripheral and central communications nodes. Several earth stations connect directly to central nodes while several earth connections are made between peripheral and central nodes and a satellite. Circuits are established between the satellite and each central node. At each node several subscriber connections permit the input and output of synchronous and a synchronous data.
