The cursor is for a slide clasp fastener and has a tab (2) for moving it to which a decorative or identification plate (3) is attached. An elastic tongue (10) is fixed on the plate (11) between a U-shaped slide (7), which projects from the plate. The slide fits over the extremity of the tab (9) and a tooth under the tongue engages in an opening (5) in the extremity of the tab. The plate can be removed from the tab by putting a tool through a hole in the base of the slide and pressing on the tongue to disengage the tooth.
