Composition for determination of human beta 2-microglobulin, process for its preparation and its use

A composition for use in the qualitative or quantitative determination of human beta 2- microglobulin comprises synthetic polymeric latex particles having an anti-human beta 2-microglobulin antibody, coated on the surface of the latex particles. This composition may be prepared by contacting a synthetic polymeric latex having a solids concentration of from 0.05 to 5% with an anti-human beta 2-microglobulin antibody having a concentration of 0.0001 to 1% in a buffer at a pH of from 5 to 10 at a temperature of from 4 to 40 DEG C. The composition can be used to determine human beta 2- microglobulins in human body fluids by, for example, the microtiter method.
