A machine for removing sprouts from the stalk of Brussels sprouts plants, comprises a cutting head 1, fig. 1, rotating around an axis of rotation 5 and four cutting members, each cutting member consists of a bell-crank lever 6 with at the free end of one of the arms 12 two knives 13, one knife 14, fig. 4, with a cutting edge 22 parallel to the axis of rotation 5 and the other knife 15 made out of resilient or spring material and with a cutting edge 23 which is curved.
