PURPOSE:To improve the growth of a pig and the feed efficiency, by incorporating a specific amount or more of iron agent in a feed for pig keeping consisting of raw materials, e.g. grains, vegetable oil cake, animal feed and chaff and bran. CONSTITUTION:An ion agent in an amount of 600ppm or more and in such a range as not to cause toxicosis is incorporated in a feed for pig keeping containing at least two or more types of raw materials, e.g. grains, e.g. wheat or corn, vegetable oil cake, animal feed, e.g. fish meal or skim milk powder, and chaff and bran, e.g. rice bran or wheat bran, and other raw materials for feed, e.g. saccharide or calcium phosphate. Iron sulfate, iron and sodium succinate citrate, iron complex of threonine, ferrous fumarate, ammonium iron citrate, iron carbonate, iron chloride, iron gluconate iron phosphate, etc. may be used preferably as the iron agent to be incorporated.
