MUTUAL INTERRUPTION SYSTEM BETWEEN COMPUTER BY COMMON-USE MEMORY SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To interrupt computers without adding a module by making a request for memory access to the address that corresponds to the machine number of a computer to be interrupted by an interrupting computer. CONSTITUTION:Computer 10, when to interrupt computer 20, sends a request for memory access to the address, which corresponds to the machine number of computer 20, to common-use memory 30 via common-use memory interface 12 and common-use memory port 13. Consequently, memory 30 attains access to the assigned address as well as normal memory access. Register 301 in common-use port 23, on the other hand, makes comparison 302 between address information sent via common-use memory bus 31 and line 305 and the machine number of computer 20. As a result, if the both agree, coincidence signal CS is outputted to interrupt computer 20 via common-use memory interface 22.
