PURPOSE:To easily discriminate that a parameter is being changed, by changing a display color of a parameter value which is displayed on color CRT connected to CPU, at the time of changing the parameter of a control unit connected to CPU through a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:In case when the parameter is changed, the parameter to be changed is designated by use of the light pen 2 and the data input unit 3, and it is input to the CPU4. The CPU4 transmits this parameter value to the designated digital control unit 7, changes the parameter value displayed on the color CRT1 to the value which is input newly, and also changes its display color to a color indicating that the parameter is being changed. Also, in case when the CPU4 is unable to confirm that the change is completed, due to a fault of each step in the course of the change processing, the time counting is started in advance by the CPU4 from the time point when the value of the changing parameter has been input to the memory, and if the change has not been completed in the prescribed time, it is regarded as a time-out error, and the display color of the parameter displayed on the CRT1 is changed to a color indicating a fault, or is flickered.
