SAND CONTROL METHOD FOR UPSTREAM OF RIVER OF BROOK

PURPOSE:To whittle away the flow strength of soil and stone so that any disaster may be thwarted and, at the same time prevent the elevation of a river bed downstream by constructing a dike through the piling up of various artificial blocks and making the lower end of a drain pipe continuous to the dike. CONSTITUTION:A pile 3 is driven into any appropriate place in the upstream of a river, a gorge. Then artificial blocks 4 such as tetrapods, hexapod blocks, cross blocks, etc. are piled up on the basis of piles 3 to construct a dike. Following this procedure, drain pipes 5, each equipped with numerous water conduction holes 6 on the upper face are linked together and laid along a river bed 1 and the lower part of the drain pipe is caused to be continuous with the afore-mentioned dike.
