PURPOSE:To provide a processing agent for imparting durable antistatic property and water absorbing property to a fiber structure, such as polyester or polyamide, comprising polyethylene glycol, an amine compound, an epoxy compound and a nonionic or anionic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:(A) Polyethylene glycol shown by formula I (wherein X is 1- 135), (B) an amine compound such as ethylenediamine or N,N'-bis(hydroxyethyl)diethylenetriamine, (C) an epoxy compound such as 1,3-epoxybutane or 1,2-epoxyoleic acid, and (D) a nonionic surface active agent shown by formulae II, III (wherein R is alkyl shown by CalphaH2alpha+1; n is 1-20: alpha is 8-18) or an anionic surface active agent shown by formulae R-COONa, R-OSO3Na or the like are compounded.
