BELT LAYING METHOD FOR LONGGDISTANCE BELT CONVEYOR

PURPOSE:To easily lay a belt in a narrow place such as a pit and the like by providing a leading edge of a belt with a wire, pulling it along a conveyor path, and joining the ending edge of the belt onto the following belt, thus leading in belts sequentially. CONSTITUTION:Pulleys 1, 2 are mounted at the end portions of a converyor path, and on one end of it a belt 5a is disposed to be pulled out of a drum 4a. The belt is provided with a wire 6 at the leading edge portion thereof in order to pull out the belt 5a by pulling the wire 6 along the conveyor path. The following belt 5b is joined in vulcanization onto the ending edge of the belt 5a with a pressing member 11 and a heating member 12. Then, a converyor belt is laid by joining the belts in a loop, whereby the belt can be laid speedily and safely even in a narrow place.
